Me too. I got an approving nod from a guy in an S70R today, a short while later i stopped into the Audi dealer to pickup some parts and came out to find two mechanics giving it a good look over. I think they would agree

Me too, well said that man...

The better half has been driving our 1993 S2 Avant lately. it's not often I hear it drive off, and with a 3" turbo back Milltek twin box, I've got to say, it sounds utterly superb. No wonder it turns heads.

You should let somebody else drive it an anger while following. I had macspring driving mine a while back and i was shocked at how loud my decatted milltek equipped avant is on full chat, sounds fabulous, but loud as hell.

It's funny really, because I don't see the S2 as a noisy car... As a family, we describe the Ur quattro as 'noisy car' as it's a 3" single rear box Scorpion exhaust and, well, bless, it is loud... But the Quattro rally car is an AAN 20vT with a similar, no cat, 3" Scorpion single rear box set up...(yet, stangely, seems more civilised than the 10vT's loutish behaviour)...

So to stand and listen to the S2 clearly power up into the morning rush-hour traffic some half a kilometre away is quite a surprise....

Love mine alot and still get a thrill from driving her after 16 years of ownership. The admiring glances from folk who have a little knowledge on older cars is always pleasing and sometimes you get an urge every 4-5 years what car can I buy to replace the S2 with and to be honest theres not much I can think of.

EXACTLY! I have had mine 12 years and cannot think of a single car that could eclipse it. It will be going into winter storage next week, and will then be look forward to bringing it out again in the spring.
