    Rs2'ed ABY over fuelling issue

    Hi all

So finally started car the other day, with new set up and it is blowing black smoke and missing in 2nd gear, -( only gone up and down our drive as front still off the car), revs smooth albeit smokey but it's had new 044 pump new green inj, 3.8 bar FPR , new everything virtually , ABY ecu with new RS2 chips . Any ideas ? I'll plug in code reader tomorrow and see what pops up, only thing I've not changed is plugs - they're fairly new standard ABY ones from old standard set up , should I change ? Cheers

Are the injectors the right ones for the chips?

The chipset is RS2 and works with stock RS2 injectors
Check the part numbers, they're on here somewhere

The ECU ran perfectly on my car with RS2 turbo, RS2 injectors and 3.8bar fpr

Cheers John, will do.. Yeah I remember when I was after injectors paul Nugent said the light greens were fine .... For his homefries set up, so maybe these have a diff flow rate to stock dark green rs2 ones.. I'll try n suss it.. I'm just glad it actually started !! With all the work and changes I've done lol and there's no air leaks for sure it's had a complete new set of hoses all round and is tight as a drum.

So looking on past sticky re the two light and dark green injectors it seems the light ones are indeed a slightly higher flow rate than the darks. So hopefully this will explain it John. Cheers

I've had a dodgy 02 sensor cause that, try running it disconnected.

Thought it too good to be true by starting and running, now it won't fire, just turns over
Pulled codes and I'll have to work through em as there's 7.

are the light green injectors origional bosch ones?
there are a lot of chinacrap on the net,
is the bosch symbol present on the injector?
to much fuel can also be the white temp sensor on the back of the head

                      Hi mate.

Hmm no they haven't any bosch symbol on em,so I indeed may have bought cheap crap. That's a positive tho, also one of the error codes came up as temp sensor . Tho this was new few years back... So for starters I'll sort new injectors, get. New temp sensor and a set of new plugs to boot .

take plugs out and clean them. if the overfueled they may not fire.
