yeah i've been off footy for years, players earning stupid money, tickets cost a bloody fortune and nobody plays with any real passion anymore - lets face it if you get £100k a week and float about in a big jeep who needs to try??? Hmmm kinda sounds like F1 and i'm off that too.....

Love sport which requires true skill and power and passion - how about bobsleigh 4 x 110kg guys who can sprint sub 11sec 100m while pushing a 350Kg carbon fibre bathtub, before all squeezing in. With all the steering technology of a homemade go-kart, pulling 135kph and over 3g through some corners and not a seatbelt, rollcage or airbag in sight.....now that takes balls oh and the GB team are actually pretty good but funded on a shoestring...

Sorry not each to his own these footy players are being over paid by each and everyone of us , one way or the other I am paying that prat and all the rest of them via tv license sky subs and for the products that they advertise All sport is ok by me but not when they create prats like rooney beckam etc

No disrespect they get paid peanuts in comparsion to F1 driver and ALL american sports.

whys Beckaham a prat? because the media chase after him? he's the most high profile english player, play in probably the biggest club side in the world.

I enjoy football for football couldn't care less how much they're paid.
