None taken .As a "Footballer" he may be a God to some but when you hear him speak and the way he acts I see him as a "prat" it is what he represents that gets me most of all overpaid for what he does ie entertain and the worship that is showered on him and his like is pathetic yes he can play football so what remember it is just a game but jimmy down the road sweeps the streets brilliantly and johnny bakes a mean loaf of bread all very essential and what do they get for it ,very little .and as I said before when I want to buy a razor blade or a pair of trainers I am paying that "PRAT" and sorry but I have a life I dont worship these man made demi gods the trouble is I have no choice but contribute to beckingham palace and Rooneys tart's spending habbits If it was up to me they would get a good wage and you could get a ticket for a game for a tenner or so The subject is closed from me
PS if the time ever comes that i need to worship someone I will go to some form of church

All due respect, he's the best role model for the young 'uns. He doesn't smoke, rape anyone, fight, get involved with racism and has family values. Not many footballers could fit into his shoes.

A lot of this may be true (and is genuinely something I applaud) - but I'm not sure that prostitutes (BBC News link) sit comfortably in (most) "family values".
        Ck.

                  Why?

If you go to a concert do you care how much the musician got paid? or do you simply enjoy the music?

If you go to the cinema do you care how much the actor / actress got paid or simply enjoy the film?

If anything was too expensive I wouldn't bother, and neither of them are every week either!
Football seems to have this addiction where people will go any cost, they're proving it right now.
The ITV digital saga also shows they're just trying to rip off the suporter.
If supporters turned round and made a stand against rip off prices then they would have to lower the gate, and in turn the "stars" would be rich but not knobs with it. What did Woodgate, Bowyer et all get up to? If you pay young men masses of cash they will think and act like gods, or try to. They aren't, they are knobs, without enough experience to deal with what they have.
Any way does Rooney drive a red S4 reg. R100NEY?
Coz I think I undertook him on the M62 as he going too slow, all the gear - no idea.

agree with you bry i love footy but i would never pay for pay per view its bad enough paying for sky sports as it is . in england we hype average players to a very high level then we cant even beat teams like northern ireland and denmark most players are way over rated in this country including rooney , beckham , bring me zidane , ronaldinho , kaka ,shevchenco ,anytime. true entertainers.
