I once worked out on my 12R that at ~200mph you need an additional 3hp for every additional 1mph. I've been trying to get it over 200mph for 3 years.
So the difference between claiming my bike will do 195mph versus it'll do 200mph is worth approximately 15hp.
My Akrapovic gained me 17hp and took the bike to ~185hp and ram-air might get me a few more but the difference between 197 and 200 is 10hp worth. Well where the hell am I going to find that 10hp from?
Similarly you can see how much hp a tailwind is worth when you're trying for top speeds.
In the S2, about as aerodynamic as a brick, I'd hazard a guess its similar.
I've had 3 230hp cars now and all of them struggle for the last few mph above 145mph on the flat.
My angle is that there is no way a stock S2 can hit 160mph. I can't think of any other 230hp cars that will either bar that mental Lotus 240R (243hp). The 330Ci claims 231hp/155mph.
Someone get a GPS read-out and prove me wrong!

) AND with a roof rack with 2 bike racks (empty) on it, I hit 155MPH indicated before the wife complained....I **** you not. It did not get to 100MPH like an S2, but above that, I am not convinced the S2 is much faster. The 2.8 has the S2 bumper so same frontal area and drag (Cd of 0.31 IIRC).
