It might be of some use for engine related maintenance but not much else. There is a manual avalable for the Audi 90 (series 4 80) which covers 4,5,6 cyl engines but not turbo or Avant.

Are you looking for any information in particular or just wanting a handy reference guide?

TBO, there is no one single reference source available, it's all over the place.

    Nuvo.

if you need torque settings and normal engine building just buy normal audi 80 90 coupe haynes manual its got 7a engine spec in there (normally aspirated 20v) same as 20valve turbo engines except few differances.

Except some of those 'few differences' could be rather important. I have as much S2 factory info that can be found on Audi's erwin site. Cost me a fortune actually, but of course I can't just copy it and publish it.

If there are specific torque settings you need then just ask!

Actually most large and small jobs are described on the forum already. Always do a search first. I hope to get som updates onto S2central.net over this winter as I'm planning some major works (weather, parts, money & life in general permitting) which should get written up half decently.

Could you be more specific what good info can be found on erwin ? Wiring diagrams, torque settings, what else ? There was old idea to buy an account there, however it's intresting, what you get for money. Especially when there are some guys on german faq's who are "leaking" that info page by page .

I dont know if you can understand any german, but here is a link to a manual for an AAN engine. Its a mechanic(178 pages) and electric, about the motronic manual(78 pages):

Getting everything sorted out for my 5++ hp project

That link is great just a sod that its in German. The exploded diagrams are awsome,

Something like that in English and i would pay good money for it, I knew i should have taken German instead of French for a language at high school

I have all of that (and much more) in English...

If Audi corporate caught me ripping it onto the 'net it could close this forum and S2 central. There are legal ways that I can divulge vital information from the manuals but I'm not about to get caught out by copyright laws.

Audi actively try to stamp out illicit use of their materials... Almost certainly they have some people monitoring this forum for signs of bad behaviour.

Paul, at what point does copyright become obsolete on technical info like this ? Audis' attitude to their information seems totally at odds with their dealer capability with the S cars.

Well i dont want to get any one in trouble, I just thought that it would be a case of spending £80 or £90 on a factory manual, turning out to be a bit of a headache.
