Total Audi mag - whats the verdict?

Any good? Or is it a watered down "Audi Driver" !

I'll ask the obvious question, did you venture to Castle Combe for the Audi Driver International Event ?, could we expect to see some pics in a later edition of your magazine ?

It would have been the best time to attend to get yourself going, so i hope you did, best turn out of S2's to date, along with so many other superb cars, there were a lot of really nice UR's there!

There was a request posted for your attendance on this forum and im pretty sure there were plenty of other people in attendance as well.

I find it difficult to believe you can feature this event without evening attending.

Im also pretty sceptical of the "S2 Special" as well given the total lack of any information for the last proposed event.

Also, when is your website going to be updated with content as well as the scrolling actually being put on there?

A fiver would've got you entry to the event, it's hardly commercial espionage, and you could've got as many pictures as you're asking us to send you now, would've been money well spent if there was always an intention to have an "S2 SPECIAL", I'm guessing the cynical may well think that the largest turnout (in car numbers ) at the event may have been the catalyst to the renewed interest.

Seems odd to me that the mag is geared toward older Audi's.... UR's, S2's etc, yet not turn up at such a big event. then have the cheek to request pics from us to put in there.... be an interesting read, on an event you werent at!

A fair point, but that would only be true if the current history was different…..

This is a new business venture where the marketing has so far been composed of a half-arsed website, some broken promises of photo shoots, failure to turn up at other events (how many Audi shows have they missed this year) and to top it all, random appearances on this and other forums begging for subscriptions to this mythical magazine.

Whilst this does not constitute the makings of a scam (because that would be done far better or it would be the lowest grossing scam of all time) it also does not constitute the makings of a good business either.

The biggest turnout of S2's in recent history was last week and a guy claiming to be planning an article on them missed it It is not as if anyone reading this forum (or advertising on it) could have missed the fact that we had 30 passes on offer, so just the odd S2 might be present and maybe a couple of UR's

I also have asked the question in several posts about the website. It is half done, broken and not been updated for months. Not the best way to launch any new product let alone a magazine.

A photo shoot could be organised easily, with a few weeks notice and a dozen S2’s from original examples to highly modified beasts could be collected together. A Sunday afternoon in a big car park, some juicy engine shots, a bit of history about the mark and you have the makings of a free article. If you have any financial backing, then you simply swap the car park for a run way (which lets face are every 2 miles on this US aircraft carrier that we call Britain) and you have the action shots.

I suggest that whilst we should give any genuine Audi related venture a fair chance, we have not yet had anything positive to go on. In fact, all we have had so far has been negative.

As I keep saying, I will buy it and if it's good I will be at the front of the queue for a subscription (eating my hat whilst queuing), but I think it's damn cheeky to keep popping up on this forum, begging for subscriptions and then not deliver.

Flame away if you feel the need, but prove me wrong and we will all be happier than if I am right.
