      Is our investments safe?

        Total Audi - non delivery.

I thought that I was the only person suffering from the non delivery of the magazine. After exchanging a few emails with David Corfield recently, initially fobbed off with "postage problems" and being told that the Dec edition was in the post (over a week later - no mag) I've come to the conclusion that we're being ********ted. Nobody likes a liar and I've told him that if he can't deliver by Saturday, I will be demanding my a refund subscription fee .

        Roy.

Ive received the 1st edition but nothing else since.

Im probably going to be asking for a refund as well as whatever is going on isnt being communicated which isnt the best way to run things good or bad.

Hi guys, it's been a while since I've been on this forum... and look at what I've missed! Ho hum...
I take any criticism squarely on the chin and I know that some of you have had problems getting your issues, for which I apologise and promise to have it sorted for the next issue which (although delayed because of lack of funds and illness before Christmas) is coming out towards the end of next week. Total Audi's Commercial Manager Tom Saunders has asked me to ask you to email him direct with your queries so he can help you: ads-totalaudi@blueyonder.co.uk
Again, I'm sorry I've not been particularly active on this forum in updating you, but please dont think harshly of me as I've been working my *** off with the rest of the TA team in trying to secure the mag a future.

I quite agree. I have put my faith in this product and at the moment it feels like there is one excuse after another. I realise that it is a chicken and egg situation for David, but the communication is poor, and if he is not careful bad rumours could easily circulate.

I would at the very least avocate putting all subscribers on an email list and email to let them know what's going on. The last thing this mag needs is people deserting them.

I will reserve judgement for a few more weeks before I pull the plug.

The upside is, the first issue is actually quite good.

                      Cheers,

                          Its Coming....honest

Hi All, It's frustrating, we do hear you, the editorial is almost complete and I'm finalizing the advertising today and Monday, we should be looking at posting the second issue out by next Friday provided of course there is no hiccup at the printers. For those who haven’t received the first issue (and should have by now as these were posted over a month ago) please, please, please email with your details (ads-totalaudi@blueyonder.co.uk)...NOT David! Cheers and thanks for your patience...Tom

Not sure what to think. This has been going on for much longer than the S2 Forum has been aware. There are posts about Total Audi and its immanent publication dating back 3 years on the QOC forum and also similar information on the quattroforum.

Now there would be nothing better than to have another Audi magazine to read, but instead of making promises that You know you want keep, why not keep people up to date with what is actually happening. I would also suggest that you move to a bi monthly format to begin with (unless you have already done this).

Things that concern me most that as soon as an uproar starts as to whats going on, the same old story comes out the woodwork.... its being finished as we speak and will go to printers next week or sent out next week, i heard this for a long time before the 1st issue finally arrived and i dare say that no one receives a 2nd copy before the end of february.

Also, for the sake of professionalism, given that you have the domain for this magazine, why do the ads emails go thru a blueyonder account? Hosting is obviously in place so mailboxes shouldnt be an issue, may only be a small point, but if you are taking a lot of money from a lot of people and expecting companies to pay large amounts for advertising, this, for me does not look good!

As i suggested before and others have built on, the facts of what is happening would buy you far greater respect and patience than some cover up bulls**t story saying next week it will be here! Its now the end of Jan and 1 edition has rolled out which was dated November.... now i know why it was headed "Special Collectors Edition" its because its probably the only one anyone is going to see!

Ok, I again hear you, so here’s the score. I wasn’t around 2-3 years ago when this idea was hatched. I heard about Total Audi Magazine about October time last year through my own club/forum RS246.com where I have been a member for the last 3 years.

I got involved because I work full time on another magazine and was excited by the thought of:
                                1) Being in control of my own publication.
                                2) Being involved in a magazine that reports on the very subject I have a passion for.

Having meet David Corfield and his friend who has invested his own time and limited funds in to setting up Total Audi Magazine I was sufficiently impressed and wanted to be part of this exciting new adventure.

We both have other work commitments which pay our way in life and rightly or wrongly we are working on this title with extremely limited resources and time. There is no plush office, no regular meeting with an army of editors and sub editors in which I used to enjoy when I was at IPC nor is there the resources of a marketing department and a subscription department, nor the pleasure of a post room (which always had the odd quirky character which every big company employs!). No, it’s just David and I.

I am lucky to have a family in which I also want to spend time with as does David, with that said we also launched this title towards end of November/beginning of December and were under the cosh around Christmas due to illnesses that affected us both. David will also be the first to admit that he isn’t the greatest person when it comes communicating back what’s going on here at Total Audi Magazine. There is an email going out tomorrow to all subscribers re the situation with the delivery of the second issue. I can also vouch for the fact that all of the subscriber’s money has not been touched in case any of the subscribers wish to withdraw their subscription.

Your right to feel nervous, you don’t know me and you don’t know David.... but I promise you your money has not been touched if you have subscribed to the magazine, It’s sitting there for you take back if you don’t want to continue with your subscription....I promise you this isn’t a scam. I am more then willing to email my address and home telephone numbers to those who want it if it helps them feel more secure with Total Audi Magazine. We are not taking a wage from this magazine, its purely a labour of love and I don’t mind that up to a degree as I enjoy the very thought of producing a title that is as exciting and exhilarating as the subject we report on, like you I am proud of my car and what it stands for.

As for the email address, well again I haven’t got round to organising the set up with that and as we all work from different locations it was way down on the priority list, the magazine, its subscribers and Advertisers are more important at the moment.

Again I say it, if you have a problem with what’s going on email me directly (ads-totalaudi@blueyonder.co.uk) I will be more then happy to supply you with my telephone number and you call me or I will return your call, rather then fret on here on this forum.

                                With the best intentions

                                Tom.
