    Had a crap Tuesday.

Had to go to Brixton for the day, put the car on one of those pay and display areas while I went to find out where the NCP was, put 2 quid on for an hours parking. Got the time wrong and came back to find it clamped, had to wait for it to be unclamped, 100 quid later, found the multi storey and promptly scarfed up my front NS RS4 rim on the kerbing of the stupidly narrow ramp, no kidding, I did it twice the ramps were that narrow. On the way home I floored it in 4th and it cut out and started playing up again, the boost gauge needle was quivering/vibrating strangely, never seen it do that before, there has also been a smell of engine breather inside the car lately..

Seriously though, what makes the Boost needle wobble around at high boost?

Doesnt sound like a very good day. the clampers are still a bunch of cowboys around that way. As for the boost I guess it could be WGFV, or may be a small boost leak being masked by the turbo giving all its got?

Yes, I'm going to have to pressure test again and clean the WGFV.

It did the big cut out again today, seems like if you drive it gently for a while then floor it, it gets to max boost then dies just like a fuel pump shut off. If you back off then floor it again it doesn't do it, really confusing.

It did pretty much the same as this the first session at Castle Coombe, then I came in and tweeked all the hose clips up and all seemed to be ok, except later in the day it was holding back quite a bit, I put this down to the 95 ron + octane boost not being good enough and the heat..
