I have a Tom Tom 510 with the additional traffic update via Bluetooth phone. Best bit of kit ever invented.
I came back from Bruge on the channel tunnel and got to Dover at 1700. Tom Tom said I would get home to Huntingdon at 2215 ( the M25 was blocked before the M11). I used the reduce traffic delays option and it phone "traffic master" and it gave me a new time of 1905.
Set off following the voice. It took me through London via the Blackwall Tunnel, I thought it was mad as it was a Friday but no. Arrived home as predicted 1905.
You need to pay 30 Euros per year for the interactive services.Comment

Got a tom tom 700 mate, good bit of kit! There are newer ones now so they must be even better i guess, don't use it much in the Audi cos it is strapped to the golf but found it really good for the static camera sites and the mapping is excellent! Highly recommended.Ragusa Coupe gone!

I've got TomTom on my mobile, so I take it everywhere with me.
I'd be lost without it.
It hates POIs though. The GPS signal is dropped whenever you get near one.
You can only really use them as a point to look for. Then you have to switch them off when you're on the move. So no good for speed cameras.
Other than that it's great.

I have a tomtom go 510 - I think it's great - though not cheap. Best thing about it - no more arguments with the missus - we have something else to blame now....
Simply put in the post code - off you go. Sometimes it's little slow on the round abouts - it says 'take the exit' when you are already well on your way...
.
pros:
nice bright screen
easy to use even when driving
points of interest is really useful - find me a restaurant on my route etc
beat my brother to his local pub - found a better route than he knew!!
cons:
mainly the cost - rrp £350 ( though you can get it cheaper)
I have not been lost once since getting this - big plus - can use it in either carComment
