Dumfries & Galloway police have a Merc C36 AMG in silver (what else).
Correction - It is actually a C320 - I followed it to work at 55mph the other day.

I have a complete set of genuine VAG police/fire sirens (sirens, control unit, looms etc - just need an ignition feed, permanet feed and an earth to get running). Have been very tempted to slip them behind the front bumper. Especially on those lonely country lanes when someones dithering in front or when one of the million Ford Focus and Mondeo repmobiles I see each morning overtakes on a blind bend and tries to take my wing mirror with them.

Years ago a mate had an ex-Police Sherpa van to carry his race gear around in with a trailer for the car.....can complete with a agnetic blue flasher unit to slap on the roof when needed.

It was great til we got pulled for impersonating a police vehicle.....luckily we were in a private carp park at the time and not on the open road...at the time it was a 12 month ban...ooopppsss.

The cops, after bollocking us were more interested in the race car than anything else.....

Speedcamera.org had a list of CID cars
                      ( Coppper in Disguise)

They very quickly removed it the web site isn't there any more.....

Another ex web site had a list as well. Max power had a listing at one time.

May I suggest that this subject is a little risky .....

Some of these cars are used for catching real criminals and not just motorist persecution. ( Not sure what the percentages are)

I'm all for the flashing lights as long as they are in the grille and not behind me!

Sorry to be a spoil sport but it would be shame to lose the Forum for one thread.
