I drove 800 miles today to the French Alps through blizzards all the way from Calais to Dijon. Its -16C now in Morzine and snowing. The S2 performed flawlessly.

This is what i woke to yesterday when visiting parents up north in Lincolnshire. I had quite a drive back down to hants that afternoon, good use of the 4wd on the uphill stretches...

My car hasn't turned a wheel in 6 days, after all the recent bumps people have reported I decided best to leave it be. I'm not up for going through the same ordeal as 10 months ago

Fourrings.....don't blame you...i'm the same!!...its all well and good us S2 owners having 4wd its the others in there corsa's, 206's etc that don't!!!!......plus you wont get nailed for being drunk walking the dog!!!!...

I love quattro.
I've just had to go to rescue my parents, as their car got stuck in the snow, so they had to abandon it.

It would be even better if I didn't have bald 225 tyres!

Saw a chav 206 sliding all the way down the street, riding at 20 kph, had a bit of a laugh when we passed him

Oddly, can't believe we have escaped the snow were we are Not a jot.
Which I do find bizarre as, OK, further east/coast like Dover had roads shut and the like,and Sussex ( more south west)is covered (?).. I have even seen cars parked up that have had huge drifts of snow on them.......

I now fully expect to have 2 feet of snow when I open the front door in the morning

Just be careful all you guys with very wide, high performance summer tyres on, they'll give you VERY poor grip in very cold/ snow/ ice/ slush conditions - even the mighty quattro won't save us from the wrong tyres in the wrong conditions, especially with the large dollops of torque from the IL5 turbo...
