Haha! I don't know that much about it but I do know some of this forum software does some weird stuff to the servers they're on, we used to have all sorts of trouble with the old R1 Forum, it would gradually slow down getting worse and worse untill they restarted the machine and then it would be fine for a while. You get more problems if you serve the photos from the same machine, if you can shift all the images to a different server it all gets a lot faster.Originally posted by S2central.netComment

Will be first time it's let me post a reply without "Server busy go to hell" message for many days - including earlier today.
Some days it's not even let me on - let alone read or reply.
I repeat what I said in the other thread - and that others have also said in this thread - at daft (early) times of day, with very few users on this forum, the server seems ***pped out. Unless this forum runs a bizarrely CPU intensive process pretty much all the time, I do not think this great forum is the cause of these problems.
Dedicated server or not, lets drop the current hosts and go somewhere else. Show me the bank account or Paypal account and I'll help along with everyone else if that's the way our admin then choose to get funding.
