Q: hi mate may have been interested in your car but to be honest having read the discription i can hardly understand a word of what you are trying to say
          14-Feb-06
A: I fully understand not everyone/mine can understand a word of it. You are at liberty to bid on everyoneelses you can understand. That's fair. I'm just an - Rover - owner

I've got a 3500S too (I've had four!), superb motors, absolutely love them.
But that must be the fourth of fifth time that car has been on ebay, each time with similar garble. It never sells. wonder why?!
It's now well know in the Rover club Forum and we all have a good laugh when it pops up again!

He's also got another one on there, with even more Yoda!

Seems so, not sure which planet he originates from though!
He keeps putting a daft 'Buy it now' price on half way through the auction too. It must have cost him a fortune in ebay fee's so far.
Watch it not sell yet again......

I remember a while back some guy submitted a question to the seller that was even more backward for a laugh, but he seemed to understand it perfectly!

he's selling others as well! I love this question an answer!!
Q: Hi glad you got things going and the bidding is moving now also. I admit I read your text once only and will not read it again-too much- but I am slightly confused. Is the car in the first picture the car you are selling as it looks very well and appears to have a black roof whereas in some of the photos I can see a blue roof? In the queens english are you selling a rover p6 3500s with 48k odd miles and no serious rust?. Kind regards
                  14-Feb-06

A: Assisting deconfusion, that ad states how I use the car and explains very clearly you can come and see the car and that is the best way to tackle rust, blue rooves or anything else - and have a ride. That is as Queeens English as anyone could want and it also states he situation re the mileage shown. Very often in a a situation lik this, te problem is simply that as you said, you won;t read it again. All that can be said is that if this is your situation, and you are not happy with anything or the colour of the roof, consider not bidding if you cannot meet the criteria as winner and no need the proverbial paper handkerchief. Simply, if we all still live to be as old as this car, I consider myself lucky. All the besty.

Here's another 'question for seller' from when it was on a couple of months back! :

"Q: Would this be the same car that was only bid to £1,470 before? The exterior photos look like they have been cropped from a magazine. Do you have any real ones? Surely you don't mean the reserve is £4,000+? I want a good one of these but you need to give us something real to bid for. Thanks
                    11-Dec-05
A: The car is the same but the shown bid is significantly less than previous auction/s - you didn;t see the one under £3000. And you are clearly not aware of that; nor, that the top bid shown is not the top bid entered (Seee Biddiung). You refer to us but can only ansewwer your question and I would say £1470 bby that bidder is quite a lot - you are overlooking that. Also that the bid entered is more on more precous items The bidding times you may observe and of cancelled bid. Also The car is clearly displayed and for viewing befre end, you seem I don;t know to be suggesting the item is not as good as it looks or the contrary I cannot tell from your question - the bills approching £13,000? maybe you are suggesting they have been taken from a magazine I don;t really understand At a sad loss wat to say if I want an item I have to bid (or not nid if you dont). Checking I see you didn't bid before and of course not now - maybe someone knows your motives, I don;t I'm afraid - thereby others...you say you want you had your chance in that auction and never asked anything at all - I don;t understand what you're saying or your motive but not all viewers do bid, I give you that. Now, you even have something to bid for in tis and haven't and it clearly shows two interiors and submit offers and from your question I am to understand and be sorry for the fact you make it clear that the car is still not good enough for you to bid - and you haven't - haven't attempted to consider offering. I can only suggest all things are bartered for in this world. You are perfectly entitled to your opinion and I wish you well. There are other cars which have their prices and the pictures you want from your question if that is what you want you perhaps would be better bidding for it - that is you have not made your interest if any in this item or maybe are like Ques. before asking for a gallon of petrol...."

The V8 P6 is a fantastic old bus - my grandad had one when I was a wee nipper. I thought my father was mad not to buy it off him when the chance came up, but if my Da called me up tomorrow to say he'd bought this one on eBay I'd have him sent to the funny farm for mentalists straight away !
