I've seen that before. IIRC the R1 has a wee turbo strapped to it
There's a time and a place for both cars and bikes. Each has it's good and bad points.
      Still miss my bike

That's hilarious! Turboed R1, having to give it death to get past an old estate car... Then after all that work, as soon as there's a (small) gap in the traffic, wahay! Say hello to Mr RS2 again.
Obviously the bikes are quicker, but the RS2 shows them a thing or two.
            Nothing feels fast for long...

Hehe its fun to see the R1 driver really have to push the bike to keep up with the RS2. A friend of mine with a tuned S2 saloon "punished" a Honda CBR 600F last summer hehe. First the Honda passed my friends car,and then my friend passed the bike and left it behind him hehe. The bike couldnt keep up after 240 km/h

A "normal" R1 would have thrashed it into the road, but thats what he gets by fitting a turbo to it. Can't keep the front wheel on the floor in any gear Hardly ever gets half way through it's rev range.
160/170 bhp in an 800kg chassis, no contest.
Pit any of today's sportbikes against an RS2 or an S2 for that matter, down some twisties and the bikes will die a death.

I agree there...........fitting a turbo to a bike like that is just silly since the front wheel will just keep going to the sky. While a standard R1 would be able to go flat out..........Would be nice if there was a five cylinder motorcycle!!!

Yep, I had a great evening journey home a year or so ago, gave a fast bike a real surprise! Whilst he was always ahead of me, my old Kitty showed him a thing or two ...he gave me the thumbs up after our little cruise on the B road

Put a bike on twisty road and it will always suffer - I still chuckle that a Formula 3 car can outpace superbikes on many race circuits (by a healthy margin too!) - 220bhp in a 600kg car with 12" slicks (albeit hard) and wings (controlled profile at the rear) versus lightweight 150bhp+ bike but more difficult to control and ****** all contact patch ...at Snetterton that amounts to about FIVE seconds per lap!!!
