Hi, do you know how to make moulds in order to make glassfiber Parts??
For the Buggy i am bouilding i want to make the body kit but i dont know how to make it and how to make moulds out of the parts in order to make them in GlassFiber??
The Question is out of what material should i make the prototype part?? Styropor?? Will it hold? How should i separate it from the Polyester??
I had the folowing in mind:
1. Make a prototype out of Styropor or another material
2. Make a Negative mould out of glassfibers (It should be flat in the inner side)
3. Make the Hood out of the Negative impression of the prototype (flat on th eoutside)!
You can make it out of foam, then laquer it throughly. Wax it, make a mould of it, clear the mould, make the real part from the mould. There are loads of websites on this stuff. Google is your friend here.
