    Badged or un-badged?

While browsing the gallery I notice one or two un-badged S2's. This intentional? I prefer mines badged as it gives the car a look of somethin a tad special. It's not as if it's an M3 or somethin similarly vulgar noo is it?

I can also see why folk unbadge them. Must be great fun.. at the lights and some radge Type R to$$er giving it loads. See ye mate..

    So badged or un-badged?

i like the badges on mine, the red on the badge looks good against the blue of the car i think, nobody knows what they are anyway regardless of what badge is on them, short of putting 2.2T Quattro on the back and even then they would still view the car as just some old audi

Original Badges are nice for that stock look, but on the other hand do you want to advertise what your car is, potential thieves and all that?

When i cram an S2 into my cq20v im going to debadge it, its wont be a cq20v any more, and it will never be an S2, but it will always be an Audi

        Badges!

1.) I paid a lot of money for my S2 and waited a long time to see the "S2" badge in my garage.

        2.) I am Mr OEM

debadged. i know what i drive and why i drive it, and dont care if other know what i drive and why i drive it. i dont like badges, cuz they spoil the "line" of the car. i like it smooth.

I removed the badge from the front of my car but later put it back on.

My thinking was that I didn't want people to know what had hit them until I'd passed them, but what I discovered was that I got no "respect" from other drivers as they thought it was "just another old Audi", so it was harder to pass people.

I put the badge back on the grill and afterwards people seemed to get out of my way much quicker. They would let me overtake before pulling out themselves whereas before the badge, they would pull out thinking "I'm not getting passed by that old piece of junk".

Keep them on. Let people know that you mean business.

I think people are starting to recognise the S badge. I saw one in Dublin on a VW bora the other day! I want to remove mine as it's starting to get too much attention. Some of the attention is fine when people ask about it at a garage and are curious. But I fear though it's about to get stolen as more people recognise it...
Is the rear badge just glued on? Is it possible to remove it without breaking it - the glue seems very tough?

I'd like a rear badge too. Mines is all chipped and tarnished. Soooo.. if anyone wants to go down the de-badged/subtle route, then a hairdrier and dental floss will do it. Will buy it off anyone who doesn't want it..

Hey - in no way was this thread intended for anyone to de-badge their S2:mischeif:

My S2 is badged and I'll probably keep it that way......but about two months ago I was driving up the M6 when I was joined by a rather fat A4 estate that I recognised as an RS4, it was black, low, unbadged and with anthracite wheels... It was the ultimate 'Q' car and as if to prove the point whilst I sat in lane two and it in lane 3, it received a rather irritated 'flash' from a Lexus behind...... Needless to say it departed, rapidly, northwards. Leaving nothing but a stranded Lexus in the fast lane..

I've always gone along the debadged route.
Cleaner lines & really, who needs to advertise when the loud pedal does the job far more impressively?

Debadged the current S2 - only to find some butcher in the past has tried to do the same with a screwdriver and has screwed the paint.

Use a hairdryer and dental floss and you can get the whole lot off in one go with some patience
