At your age, I would insure it with my mother on the policy and state that she did most of the driving, but make sure that you still got recognition for building a NCB....hey, hold on, that IS what I did when I was 21 and drove my first Audi.

Just to make you feel better, this year I was quoted £328 fully comp and protected NCB, although I am technically old enough to be your dad....just

Even worse than your quotes though, I tried Direct Line this year as I have my house insurance with them and they refused to insure the car as it is a group 18.....I was amazed

    Cheers n

Oh and other point, elephant think an S2 ABY coupe is a group 15 car... worth remembering- thats a group lower than a 172!

Do a search for "elephant". If in the unlucky chance you do have an accident, they love to write the car off and then give you f**k all for it.
Ask MikeS2 and Sidspud what they think of "elephant"

Sure, I spoke to the guy on the phone and he said that they give you "market" value of the car, which is fine on something like a ford fiesta, but with the rarity of the car I'd want more reassurance. Tbh, most insurance companies will try and screw you over, unless there is nothing dodgy on your policy whatsoever, but they always manage to find something! I know it sounds stupid, but due to my age, I think I'm just gonna have to be carefull and take their good quote and then when I have 2 yrs NCB (with some of that on the audi) I could get insurance with a more specialised company. Its so annoying though, everytime you ring up "So whats that then mate? An Audi A2 turbo?" -"NO! Goddamit, just have a look for 'coupe', 'quattro', '2.2 turbo', or 'S2' "... "Oh you mean a TT?" ARGHHHHHHHHH!

I'm about to renew my insurance, annoying thing is now my Audi 90 Q has a 3B engine in it so most of the internet quotes are useless, I am going to try Adrian Fluxx, has anyone else got anyone to recommend for "modified" cars. I'm 24 with 3 years NCB.
