I'm just abouts over the England defeat, I think the dissapoint was more because it was so obvious that we had the potential, and after watching the following matches I'm 100% sure to go all the way - more so than any other team. Just a shame that as always we never managed to meet that potential

That aside, I think it's right that Rooney reacted badly (and shouldn't have), Ronaldo was a prick about it, and if he was sent off for the push then that's a big mistake. But I the stamp woudl deserve a red card, though from the 'normal speed' replays (slomo looks very suspect) it looks more like he's taking a step-back to maintain balance...

At the end of the day I think we can put this behind us and try and look forward as we always seem to have to do... new manager, perhaps some new talent, and fingers crossed we go get some trophies!!

-Oh, and has anyone seen the reaction of the French everytime Ronaldo gets the ball? I might even start liking the French if they keep this up

gonna leave myself open for a flamefest here but i got thick skin!!! saw a bit of the france/portugal game (and a few others earlier) and all i can say is this: alot of those kids should take up acting. either that or they shouldn't be playing football cuz clearly they don't know how to stay on their feet. and i don't just mean ronaldo, i mean in general

not to get into some huge debate over what sport is better (you guys outnumber me overwhelmingly so there's no point ) but at least in hockey, if you dive YOU get the penalty. would a rule like that not improve the game of football?

as a means to appease any desire to ban me from the board. i will defintly say this: even in non football knowledgable eyes, that ronaldo guy is a weenie!!! both my knees are fooked but even i can keep my feet if someone goes for the ball. and not flale (sp?) around 2 seconds later as tho i've just been shot!!! someone get the guy a dress cuz he's clearly not an actor but an actress
