    Anyone got vag-com?

Im sure my overboost protection problem is throwing out a fault code because when i reset the ecu the problem goes away for a while. Anyone got vag-com that would not mind reading the codes on my s2? Thanks

Steve, all you need is a 12v bulb or a LED and you can read the "blinks"

Alas I can't afford to live at the top of Richmond Hill, that's millionaire pop-star land up there!

Drop me a PM and we can sort something out...

Right, I'm gonna risk sounding like an *** but here goes:

I think I may have a residual fault code in my ECU (It's the lambda sensor one) and I know some work was done (which included a new lambda sensor) prior to me buying the car.

The simple thing to do is to reset the ECU but I'm worried. My ECU has definitely been tampered with (in a good way) but I'm worried that resetting it will send it back to it's factory standard settings.

I know that resetting the ECU will have no effect on any new map (the map and faults are stored in completely different memories aren't they?) but I just want to be absolutely 100000000% sure.

Sorry, if everyone's rolling their eyes at this . Just want be sure.

              Thanks in advance

              Dan
