They are getting more stealthy than that. I saw an unmarked white volvo estate yesterday complete with towbar and twin electrics . Looked just like your normal everyday car, no extra aerials or any other signs.

I have on my PC that book which the ex traffic copper brought out on "how to save your license" if you want it i can e-mail it, it is a pdf with 724kb. That explains exactly what you have to do to get away with it if you are cheeky enough, it also gives you your rites and a summary of what can happen in most circumstances, and if it goes to court how to deal with them, which basically involves you destroying all their credibility then it getting thrown out. The cloppers tried to ban it but were a bit too late as it was already out on the net. *****Edited*****Or better still, i'll just stick it on the forum :mischeif:

I got caught doing 96 on the M74 years ago and got off with 3 points and a fine.

I've since been caught doing 102 on the M74 and got 6 points and a fine.

It all depends on the magistrate on the day.

one of the things that the "save your license" guide mentions is a laser jammer, I found out by accident that the remote for my alpine sat nav triggers the road angel laser detector and wondered if a laser jammer was possible ....... seems like it is

I just got hit with a 28 hours community service order... I will likely be on litter patrol or something. They haven’t told me what they have planned for me yet, but I'm sure I will have to pay my dues alongside a crowd of undesirable ne'er-do-well street urchins.
How did it come to this?
Here in Holland there's no points system. Get caught doing less than 30kph over the limit and you get away with a modest fine. No records are kept for these things. (I try to forget how much I’ve coughed up for speeding fines)
More than 50kph over the limit and the cops can take your license on the spot, if they can pull you over, which is what happened to me.
So basically if you're not too out or order you get to keep your license.
I got nabbed for 180 in a 100 zone, but the justice department decided I could get my license back pending a court hearing. Sadly, before that court case even came up I got pinched for 165 in a 100 zone. The Dutch plod took my papers (they’re not as friendly as on the Harry Enfield show) and I had to get a mate to pick me up, tail between my legs. Understandably, this time, the justice department revoked my license for 4 months pending a court hearing for the 2 serious speeding offences.
I continued driving (well they DID let me keep the keys - what did they expect) and eventually got caught on a stupid routine check
Funnily enough the court eventually decided I should give them 28 hours of my time by way of punishment for driving whilst banned and said because the 4 month ban ran out in may I could have my license back.

The plod always post where their gonna be setting their speed traps on the
the police website about a week before they do it?
the information is their .Part of the new deterant policy.
In fact they tell you what their targets and goals are for that month.
I know it's no consolation but now you know.

I think some area forces do post the camera sites on their websites, and some do not. But many list them in the local newspaper if not on the www.
