Well i sort of had a blast yesterday to. I went to newsh to see if he could diagnose my problem. The MAF was not completely tight and with a little clean out of the connectors it pulls like a train again. A big thanks to Jon for his help. No boost leaks either after a pressure test. Have to say though although mine was fantastic newsh then took me out in his and i wont say what speed we hit!!!!!!!!! Great cars (when they are 100%)

@ Steve - hey, glad to hear you may have solved your issues - glad to hear Newsh is helping out even more of us fellow S2ers get our boost back!

I've been thinking since breaking my motor in, it feels sooo smooth, responsive and damn quick that the RS2 turbo can't make too much of a difference! But a different league you say?? What have I got myself into...

You're talking about 100bhp more and Lord knows how much extra torque, with significantly more boost toward the top end (less boost tail-off as well I think). You need RS2 exhaust manifold, RS2 turbo, bigger IC, RS2 injectors and the re-map, plus a proper exhaust system. You could tinker with cams as well, and if you want even more bottom end, you'll need to sort the rods as they are limiting the torque lower down I understand... Plus a set of Samcos to make sure the precious squeezed air doesn't all leak everywhere and lots and lots of high-octane Tesco 99 fuel

Good job Tom rebuilt my engine with an RS2 EM, SPM rods and RS2 bearings & head-gasket then Did I forget my 7A exhaust cam and boost samco's??

I'm intrigued as I guess I expected to hear 'its got a bit of extra shove', not 'its another league' lol... need to sort the IC and 3" downpipe and hopefully I'll have an RS2 turbo by then. I was gonna save up for a remap as I'm now completely broke, but if it's all the difference you say it is then I don't think I can wait.. now where did I hide that credit card??

PS: Tesco's 99 is all I feed her. Occasionally optimax if I'm up North
