Blimey guys, I didn't think anyone on here was into RC I've got about 40 of the things Mainly vintage Tamiya stuff but have a few nitro weapons too

No i haven’t found any local tracks or clubs yet so just messing about with it. It’s a bit of learning curve so don’t think i'm quite ready for that yet, wouldn’t want to cause a pile up on the first corner

BTW, if u tap your brakes while its in the air then the nose will dive enough to make a landing on all four wheels

You need to find a local quarry, they are lots of fun on loose dirt + small hills

Wow that’s some collection, you must have a room full of them Got any pics of the collection? I was keeping my eye out for a HiLux on ebay until one went for £650. ..for a 26 year old RC toy

@Ski: I've been getting very brave with jumps, took a while to figure out jumping with no power = nose dive. Best to hit the ramp with anger then correct Getting used to it though, and all the maintenance. Things wear quicker than i thought...

So got the bug, even bought a second hand Rush Evo on ebay as a fixer upper

I didn't keep my cars i sold them only ones i've got left in bits somewhere are the Optima, Ultima, Schumacher Cats, Sand Scorcher, RC10 and one other that escapes me.

nice collection i've had alot of this cars down the years, the Avante was ground breaking at it's launch and cost a bomb too!

I didn't keep my cars i sold them only ones i've got left in bits somewhere are the Optima, Ultima, Schumacher Cats, Sand Scorcher, RC10 and one other that escapes me.

Tell me about it! I bought the Avante in bits to restore, BIG mistake!!

That Scorcher of yours is worth good dollar with a light resto

Yeh i used to be on the Race circuit specialising in 2WD cars.

i was ranked in the top 15 of the midlands at one point, but too much cash for a school kid to keep it up

I dont miss getting up early on sunday charging all the battery packs for the race

Earnt money by build the cars for Beeties in town and Jim Davis models that used to be in Aston.

The Avante had a problem where the chassis would snap on hard impact they replaced it with another model can't remember what it was called.

I only did electric never got in IC, i might buy one next year for fun.

10t double motor? bet that flies but needs a rebuild of bushes very quickly!

I think they replaced the Avante with the Vanquish/Egress?

It would need new bushes if I used it !!

The Avant is goin in tomorrow for the new water housing, got it really hot though so I'll have to see if I cooked anything
