i've done it before i sold my S2 coupè 3B (mother pearl ) in 1998......

and jumped into my RS2.............now we (me and my wife have a baby on the way ) and..............................

Aah, I so nearly went for a test drive in an RS2 but when I got to Fontain it had already gone... I also did investigate S4 Avants, but I decided against it - I need something a little less complicated and a little less expensive to maintain for a few years. Maybe I'll get an Elise or a Noble when I can afford a 2nd car

If my enemy fighter you mean the Impreza STi that is owned by police and blantently painted up in their colours that frequents the A316, I have seen him. Only the back, sides and roof are painted, not the front so you cant tell when its up behind you.

Oh well, I was well under the limit so nothing to worry about.

There's another unmarked Rozzer around our way, it's a green VW Polo - I spotted them filling up with gas the other day...

V6 is silky smooth - I must be getting old as it's quite enjoyable to be able to drive at 30mph in 6th gear The back end doesn't feel quite as planted and flat as the S2 did, wonder what ARB upgrades I can make

Oh and it doesn't have the "drivers information centre" option, so I can't scare myself with the fuel consumption anymore. Anyone know if that's retro-fittable?!

The v6 is a very smooth engine, my brothers 2.4 V6 is as smooth as silk and pulls quite nicely so the 3.0 must be quiet comfortable .

Funny you should mention the real-time fuel consumption, I'm currently working out what is the most economial speed to drive at and in what gear. Or perhaps thats just an excuse to drive it?

Well I have to say I'm glad you are enjoying it as I still feel bad for taking your pride and joy. Has sara had a drive of it yet? I hope she isnt getting car sick

I know - I seriously considered looking at later S2s and RS2s but I just couldn't shift the nagging doubt of having to go through the same repairs and mods journey that I've been through with the Coupe, and besides, none of them would ever have been as good as the original

It was a difficult decision to come to, but I feel the right one for my current situation...

there was an A4 3.0 V6 at Billing and it was very plush I have to admit.
