    Anyone had A8 beast.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with an
    A8 quattro 4.2 petrol.
Just looking at options, encase i cant cope with a sports car suspension.
The other car i have looked into is the legacy B4 twin turbo saloon (1999)

Under the bonnet of the A8 looks interesting ??

Fancy a bit of a big, bad cruiser then Tina?
How about an S8 though?, best of both worlds (sort of) and still uber comfy.

Just watch those Tiptronic autos though. They like their fluid being changed regulary and many haven't.
      Big bill's result!

i had an a8 4.2 quattro sport recently, awesome car, best audi i have owned!only go for the sport model as it has the recaro seats,18in wheels and lowered suspension, very much a drivers car which will cruise all day at well over a ton, fairly economical too,ohh and the engine sounds good too

I tried an A6 2.7T sport quattro recently and thought it handled like a barge and had a gearshift like a particularly angry dog.

Boy at my work owned a a8 has now moved on to a S8 both cars were very comfortable and quick would highly recomend one and they are bullet proof
The S8 was put on to the computer for a health check and not one fault was flagged up. Not bad for a car which is eight years old with 90.000 miles on it

Great car - but insurance is phenomenal as its all-aluminium body aint cheap to fix. How about an S6?

Friend of mine have an A8, good looking car: http://forum.vwaudi-club.no/showthread.php?t=32692

If it had Quattro i might want one too, the ride comfort is sliiiightly better than the RS2.
