general lee.. gear box?

hi all ,

does any one know what gearbox is in the audi 80 general lee. quattro turbo ,sport quattro,[is the center diff locked when drifting]
or is it a torsen box if so, again which model type ,also are any lsd fitted .I rally a quattro in uk but keep breaking torsen boxs[early 016 100 quattro units] what ever box they are using seems to take the abuse!!

If I'm not mistaking it's a 016 US box.

on MG.com he told that he has broken more than 10 gearboxes.... don't know the exact number
