Who went on the track today?

Hello peeps nice to see so many s2's there today. Sorry could not speak i was in the UR today. Did anyone see me on the track red quattro CPE ***Y? Apologies to the red s2 behind me reg:OIL **** I was all over the place on my first session it really was bad My first track day and it had to be in fog Oh well i got better throughout the day and in the end actually hit some of the apex's So nice s2's out there

I saw you, didn't you see me fly by you?? lol, I was going to come over and say hello, but then I turned round and you were gone. The red S2 was Keithswo's.
I did 2 sessions and lost 3 litres of water each one, pretty sure the head gasket is gone so we packed in early and came home. Shame cos the car was running pretty well too..
There were some pretty quick cars out there today

Hope the car's ok John, cheers for the "engine bay tour" - very impressive! Shame about the head gasket - a couple of casualties for the S2 forum eh! I'm managed to warp my lovely A8 discs

Good to see a few new people (well new to me), unfortunately due to work commitments I was only there for a few hours and had to take off sharpish after the parade lap. Now bring on the videos!!

Thats a neat motor you have yourself there, I was telling my passenger that it was deceptively quick. I would have over taken a tad earlier but I wasnt too sure about it all myself as it was my first track day in the S2.

Shame I didnt have a chance to come over and have a chat as I had every intention of doing so, but instead I got a ride in Kim Collins yellow RS4, now that thing is Rapid!!!

I bet u were wondering about some of the lines i was taking To be honest i was all over the place. It was my first track day and went it a little cocky but soon got found out. Once i realised what lines i should take the grip from the Quattro was amazing. The Quattro is very quick through the twists and turns but lacks the power through the straight. Could u see where u were going?

Looked pretty tidy round CC though you had a moment where you liftes off mid corner through Quarry and it stepped out a bit - i would have had a few pictures but for the fact that i left the house with a camera that managed two photos before running out of juice and no license to allow me to get a track session in Oh and I was gassing with Fatty and completely missed the kids parade lap........

Yeah it did step out a fair bit on that corner but felt very stable, all I can say is thank god for 4wd.

Its a shame about the camera, but I think my mate got a few shots of me around the track along with some other cars, I'll badger him to give them to me and I'll post them on here.

Looks like it was an eventful day for some, did anyone manage to get any videos of you chaps on track?

@Newsh, sorry to hear about the head gasket, hopefully it wont take too long to get it sorted and back on the road

I've got a few of some of the chaps at Quarry. They're .MOV files from my camera and are of dubious quality. Still good fun though, and there's sound! I'll add them to my thread this evening as I'm currently on dial-up and it's the slowest thing in the word ever!

Water injection, goes like stink till the water level drops, then the MFTS turns the wick down

There was a few pictures that the photographer there was taking, guy with a laptop in the cafe part was printing them off, didn't see any decent ones of mine on track No pictures on the official website yet either.

Hope you get your car fixed soon, need to get the spanners on mine too.

Does anyone know his name or website so that we can see the afternoon pictures?

Also, if anyone has any shots of may poor old S2 being thrashed, so they gimme a shout?

P.S. Also, we need good pictures of P.Diddy in his racing TDi, as watching that lollop round the corners is possible the funniest thing I have even seen on a race track
