First time I've seen that done, nice work Andy.
Is that a carbon cover I see slotted over the airbox top too ? :mischeif:

You don't know how much they are!

I will stick my neck and say I don't really like the IM cover but DO like the airbox one.

              Cheers,

My RS2 box edges are bust, Parcelforce for you they'd be ideal to cover the damage.

                    Thanks for the advice steve
The covers are just real carbon sheet with 3M backing. The inlet is 1mm alloy sheet
cut and shaped then covererd .I was bored ,had the stuff so thought i try and smarten
the engine bay total cost 20 quid they only weigh an oz or so pete. The LMs should save a.few kg
The inlet looks quite rough standard imo.

I would like to have the IM off and beadblast then clear lacquer or powdercoat, same with the cam cover and coil pack cover, but I don't really want to take it apart. I may do some work like this over the winter....

Seriously though... other than Carbon being generally gorgeous... what is the alleged benefit of this ?

It deflects thermals rising from the manifold ,breaks them up and disperses them evenly
into the engine bay .It does FA realy just a bit of bling .Just need some blue pipes to finish the job.
