I've had 175mph on the clock of my RS2, couple of mods to it. Generally though I take what the speedo says with a pinch of salt, but it was doing over 6000rpms in 6th. (I think stock gearing = 185mph@limiter).Comment

well my good old 90 20v toped out at 147 fully loaded.thats 4 people n 5 alloys in boot.so i guess the 155 mark could be done.1990 100 2.2 10vqt 82k miles(now dead)

Well, only a respectable 156 in my slightly modded 3B
... GPS, but a very very respectable 206 on my other vehicle 
(geared for 240, but bottled it... plus wind resistance is feckin huge when you get there..!) - also GPS
I know my 3B speedo is way out around 120 - 130.... it indicates almost 150 at 130...!Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...

I had my UR showing 159, the chuffin didgy speedo stops at 159! whats the point in that!
I have bigger diameter wheels n tyres so shouldn't be too far out....Rob..

My top speed ive ever seen was an indicated 140mph in my old Golf VR6 whilst side by side with a modded Nissan 200sx. We sat side by side from 0 all the way up to 140. It was kind of spooky and seemed to be one of those slow motion moments, if you know what i mean. We flashed each other goodbye after the run showing a bit of mutual respect. Next day when i was cleaning the VR i noticed a no 6 screw in the front tyre, how lucky am i!S2 + RS2 yep ive had a few love em... Laser red S2 avant... Brilliant black lhd RS2... Polar silver RS2... was happy to see 140 on her but now want the 155mph then i can say its as fast as a bmw lol lol.

I am not sure how an NA 90 20v will do 147 and a projected 155 when the handbook says 235km/h. Unless it is well modified. A very faulty speedo me thinks.Comment
