On a serious note, I was driving home from Birmingham last night, after a day at the NEC for Autosport International - very tired, I had stopped for a break earlier in my journey home and thought I was fit to go again.
I was wrong.
I fell asleep at the wheel and glanced off the barrier on the way home (Fanny the Golf now sports some redesigned bodywork on the driver's side).
I was very very lucky, I could have drifted left and down a large embankment or even through a gap into oncoming traffic. Either way I know I could have died last night.
Tiredness really is a killer, don't do what I did, have a proper break and make sure you're safe. I won't be making the same mistake twice.
I was lucky this time, the worst that happened was a bit of damage to sheetmetal.
