Thought you guys might like to see what I had to drive round in whilst my S2 was off the road awaiting a new rad..... (thank goodness its back now)

This is a 1997 Dacia 1310 1.6 litres of throbbing muscle, well almost...

I had my original one recored, was £220 for one from Vagparts or audi I think. Had it recored at Kempston radiators for £92 in vat

its old reneult 12 chassi ..... they had this with a gordini engine in too, with 2x weber40....ugly as

That car really is terrible!! At least it means not risking denting the S2 in the ice and snow though?

I like the go faster roof rack and seat covers, in it's defence though the romanians know how to fix them and they are built to deal with the roads, so i am told by my wife who has taken no end of p*ss taking over the dacia brand from me.

I gotta be honest, I am so pleased to be driving the S2 again...
When I borrowed this one, I had to spend 2 hours on it to get the lights and indicators working.... But as Iain says, they are easy to fix and so many of them around anyone can sell you the right part...also, theres a bit of space round the engine......!
Damn, changing the hoses on this would be sooooooooo easy...!

PeteRR.... fun, kind of, but only because I knew it wasn't mine, thinking how my friends in the UK would laugh... but it did get us around for a whole month, and didnt let us down... I will not be in a rush to borrow it again though...!
