Interior fan noise when off.. please help!

    Good evening to you all.
I would much appreciate your help with a problem i am experiencing.

The problem is when i turn the car on there is a noise inside the cabin much like the fan is on. I have ensured the fan is off but the noise persists. The car does not have climate control, just the basic fan along with aircon.
If any of you can shed any light on the matter or indeed offer me a solution it would be much appreciated.

    Many Thanks

I reckon it is a leak from the pipe to the ECU, you will find this under the carpet in the passenger footwell, kind of behind the glovebox....
That would sound like a fan, or maybe it is leaking from the diff lock pipes under the rear seat, again, hissing type of noise with engine running would sound like a fan...

Fuel Pump? They Can be quite noisy and could possibly be what you describe..
Try and locate if its coming from the rear (boot area) of the car!!

I noticed something new the noise is still present but when you engage a gear and drive the car it disappears, but if you lift of the accelerator whilst the car is still in gear and moving the noise reappears. I also reved the car when stationary but the noise persists.
I am still confused as to what this could be.
Any help will be much appreciated

can you listen very carefully to see where the noise is coming from? Put you ear down in the passenger side foot well and see if its louder there.

i have done as suggested and i do beleive that the noise is louder in the passenger footwell, what does this indicate.
thanks for any help you can give.
