Sure that Veyron will blow anything away - but it doesn't ooze the appeal of the R8. Funny when you look at the engine specs of the R8 - its only 430Nm peak torque... Which an S2 will provide with just some upgraded ECU software.
Of course thats only one tiny part of the picture but its interesting to know that you could embarrass an R8 with an S2 if running the RS2 turbo and say 550Nm (as long as it wasn't caught off boost). Wouldn't that dampen the spirits of anyone who paid £70-90k for this gorgeous beast ? Until you get to the corners and then it would be the R8 with a clear technical advantage in terms of vehicle dynamics !Paul Nugent

Whoever is driving can really drive a car.
Some impressive control of some seriously expensive equipment.
I'm absolutely amazed at the immense acceleration of the Veyron against a very quick R8.
Love the sound of the R8 but it was completely out done by the gallardo, what a noise!!!!
