The cost of optional extras!

On an ABY/ADU the vacuum diaphragm sits down below the throttle body so i wonder if the distributer is in the way on 3B motors.

On a 7A's it sits ontop of the manifold so that might explain why it was an option for them, pump itself is mounted on the firewall beside the brake master cyl, or on the right where our battery would go in LHD cars.

Just noticed that the outside temperature display wasnt available as an optional extra on the 3b but was across the rest of the coupe range! Wonder why?? Obviously changed when the ABY came along! (Assuming that thats the same as the ATD!)
I love the old promotional material like that and have picked up quite a bit from ebay!

Btw what does £32K in 1991 work out at today's money? Always wondered!

Well, things were different in Europe... My (UK registered LHD) 3B has cruise control, and it also has ACC, which means it also has an external temp sensor (displays on ACC unit, not under instruments...)
Also, the battery is under the rear seat, possibly why there was room for the cruise gubbins under the bonnet....
