The forward facing cameras are not allowed to flash you, for the obvious reason.
The cameras that take the drivers pic(so you cant say you dont know who was driving, and drag it out for 6 months and then get away with it!!!!) dont flash and next thing you know you get a fine thru the post. One near me flashes at you from the opposite carriageway if you go past above 30.
Hopefully all will be ok and if not at least youll have a nice pic to show the forum

truvelo cameras are the ones that face you and have 2 round lences a bit like the old movie cameras were blue in colour before they all went yellow and i didn't think they flashed . i all ways thought the lines on both sides of the road was so that you couldn't avoyed getting caught by driving on the right hand lain. had the same thing happen to me years ago never got anything come through. flashed only once where as being flashed from behind it flashes twice. think it takes a bit longer than 2 weeks for fines to come through i'm sure it was more like 3 or 4 when i've had some
never set your expectations to high that way you are never disapointed

          Guys

I thought that it was illegal to have a photo taken from the front not for the flash but for the invasion of privacy. i know a case was brought up about 4-5 years ago which initially stopped this. Has this changed in recent times?

Got flashed when I got lost trying to get out of central london to the m11, first time it flashed at me, thought it was a UFO sighting! Second one came about 3 minutes later when I got done swearing that I couldn't afford to pay the ticket. Lanes went from 70 to 40 for no apparent reason, however it's been over 2 months now and nothing in the mail

It is meant to be illegal but I know a few people who live in my area who have had exactly the same thing happen to them on the same camera. Crazy I know, could cause a crash!!

It's working days for the NIP (Notice of Intended Prosecution) to arrive so give it 3 weeks. That's with normal postal conditions, so if there's stikes during this period or you live in the middle of nowhere, it will be extended.

Living in Co,Durham has it advantages too, ZERO speed cameras anywhere
Although I have to be careful when I venture out of my area, I just don't have "speed camera sense"

I once got flashed by a gatso speed camera on the other side of the road to me, was on the A66 in Scotland, not far off Edinburgh. No markings on my side, but was on the other. No cars at all on the Gatso side, so it was defo me it flashed. Both myself and my other half saw it flash as I passed at well above the 10mph (:mischeif: ) limit.
Was told not to worry as it was just to slow down drivers speeding in the other direction. It worked to, I drove like Miss Daisey the rest of the way.

Was up your area a couple of weeks ago Sonic, with two S2's, 5 days camping in Windermere with my bro and his kids.

Must add, defo a Gatso and not a Truvelo. This was 4 years ago. Long before some prick had thought of Truvelo.
