Anyone had to lose to a Maestro turbo yet. I've heard they are scary fast, especially when modded and wth those marvelous British Leyland brakes.
UrS6 - Homefry, Bailey DV, PiperX filter, Samco hoses, H&R springs, 3" D/P back zorst, 270bhp and 260ftlb

Triumph Daytona 955i - mmmmmm :fire:

I have owned a Stage 1 (~270bhp) 4x4 Saph Cosworth, and a 280bhp / 320lb-ft Cavalier Turbo, so am very much looking forward to seeing how a similar power S2 performs.
Hopefully I will know very soon when I get mine next week if everything goes to plan

Cav T's are sweet mate, was on the look out for one myself, but then weighed up everything about them ie. weak 4x4 sytem, Gearbox and reliabilty and decision was changed back to 20v T land

You're part of the cavalierturbo owners club aint ya? CTOR... Im sure your username rings a bell

Yeah I used to post on CTOR
The 4x4 is NOT weak if it is maintained correctly! Admittedly, you cannot give it as much stick as say a Quattro setup, but they are still better than nothing!

Just like most other cars, neglect or badly maintain them and they will eventually break.
The 4x4 works perfectly on mine...

As for reliability, same as above really.
I had mine 2 years and the ONLY thing that let me down was a broken water pipe which hadnt been replaced for a silicon one (has now!)

Lol I know where there is a montego turbo just sitting in a tyre yard waiting to be sold along with a 20v 90. Not sure how much the montego is going for the 20v is £250 (auto tho).

Maestro turbo's can be rapid but so can the rust on them.

Jas - That diesel audi sounds awesome, thats the one thing about diesel cars which annoyed/impressed me is that you can be driving down the fast lane at say 90 ish and they will come up and push you out of the way because they don't have to worry so much about fuel economy which is something I try to watch on mine.

Was you just driving when you tried it with the audi or was it from traffic lights/roundabout?

Well yeah i second that, but you do see alot of posts on dodgy 4x4 system though, but have that sorted, head sorted, everything else in good nick, and it's a sleeper if ever i saw one..

Driving on the motorway, at around 80mph, it comes flying up behind and I tow it in 6th arrogantly thinking I'll leave it for dead.
I had to pull over to let him past where he pulled a 10 car lead then it was pretty even on to an indicated top of 1,48 before the red mist cleared.
They have some punch for an oil burner I'll give them that.
Sad thing is that they seem to be the way forward in this ****** "carbon footprint" era we are entering.
Be wary of them, if they catch you sleeping they'll chew you up and spit you out.

Yeah just think, if that petrol was cheap we would not have to worry as much about that.

Is your car still standard apart from being chipped IIRC?

Lmao surprised the chav's didn't decend like vultures
Or it didn't rust away over night. (must have been a hot night with no rain)

My mates used to do that quite a lot using vtec honda's staying in the same gear at some stupidly high rev's till they gave out.

It would be nice to come across a Lancia Delta Integrale tho! The Evo 2 version simply is MEAN!

Not many around here, if any, did see a beasty one near wembley last week, was a shame i was in a 2.0 diesel...i should have smoked him quite literally! But i pulled over to admire the car But i did 'smoke' someone else damn the car needs a service!

Yeah the lancia is a nice car especially if its the evo with wide arches etc, my mate's got one and its lovely. Completely standard (apart from a stainless) They are just getting a bit rare now due to rust and shell cracking problems thru stress pity as it would be nice to see some more on the road.

Whats the craziest thing anyone's raced? i.e. souped up rs turbo? jag's, saab turbo's?

i once raced a chipped and tuned rs turbo series 2 in the pug 205 1.9 gti turbo technics conversion I used to own...

It was a proper little pocket rocket (possibly my fave car ever!) but at the time it had a severe boost leak and I was waiting for some silicone hoses..

Very even match but the rs then took me at about a ton which was most upsetting ******* boost leaks

Lol pugs are quick when done right. The guy I bought my coupe quattro off took me out for a drive to show what it was like, sat behind him at 100mph waiting for him to move, same with a civic type R.

On full song that pug ran 200 bhp~ when it had been fully tweaked.
in the dry it was a 'stock' S2 killer, especially when you hit the twisties those cars handle like little monster karts....
