    Car recommendations for chav colleague

Ok, maybe not completely chav, but the idea is nearly there.

A new colleague is joining the office from abroad. He's 23, international licence only, zero no claims, and wants a car with (in his words) "a bit of street cred".

Our receptionist (bless) found an MG ZR for £750 - which attracted a 3rd party fire/theft insurance quote for this guy of c. £1900.

Open question - for both serious and less-serious ideas - what should he get?

    Cheers

    Ck.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

Depends how he defines street cred!

He could do what many first time drivers do and get a a small engined supermini, beit Coarsa (shudder), Sax06 (shudder) or Fester (shudder), lower it and put some tasteless alloys on it.

Or for more of our kind of street cred, get an 80's vintage Audi or VW and get limited mileage classic insurance... Oh, and lower it and put some tasty alloys on it:

A fun, reasonably priced car that handles great with cheap insurance, how about a 306 Dturbo. Don't laugh, they are the same as a gti-6 with smaller brakes and only group 5 insurance. Maybe not chav enough though.

          What he said

Or if pure street cred is what u want, look no further than a nova, preferably 1.2 OOOOooohhhh yeeeehh! Lowered till u cant lower no more, mind u..that's probably just the weight of the subs in the booot...
Add the M3 side mirrors, recently proven they add a minumum of 15bhp each!
Tint the windows all round, this will increase the airflow around the windows 'sumhow ' And boy will it fly! Make that another increase of 20bhp easy!
Metal garbage can lid sized zorst ooooh yeh! We're getting there!
If you really want to push the boat out, LED's on all 4 Wheeel Red +yellow each side to get the 'Flame' effect once u sprint from the lights at midnight...This is big boy territory....75bhp per LED, the more the merrier!

Go fast stripes is the creme de la creme for pure power, torque all in one...2 stripes = a mind boggling 300bhp

Oh and mesh up all the rot holes in the body, dayuuum street cred is an understatement!

Disclaimer: Go fast racing stripes should not be attempted unless you strengthen all MAJOR components on the car...So yeh tape up the aerial yeh!

We are going to the races my son!
