Does anyone know the part no for the front one's just so I can check when I pick them up on monday and don't have another 260mile round trip to sort them out.
Koni top adjustables

I didn't think that Koni did a top adjustable for the S2, they do and adjustable one, but they have to be removed from the strut to adjust them so make sure you get them right first time. Part number for these is:-
Front : 86-2086SPD2
Rear : 86-2433SPORT

I think that there is 2 turns of adjustment and I set all 4 of mine to 1 1/2 turns and I think they are a bit too hard. The fronts are coming off this afternoon and I'm going to try them at 1 turn. I'll let you know what they are like.

Going to 1 turn is a definate improvement, but given that the roads round here are pretty poor I think I could go to half a turn and it would be better still. Unfortunatley I can't be bothered to take them off again!!sigpic

Top adjustables are for cq and cq20v only. On mine i'm running with one turn on the rear, and 3/4 turn on the fronts.
An S2 weights more on the front end so i would go for one full turn.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

I'm on 1 turn on the front and half a turn on the back, nice.Comment

About to fit my new Konis, along with a set of Pro mounts for the front and mount savers at the rear, so I'm hoping to feel a nice improvement.
I assume that all of the measurements are taken from fully relaxed, thus the more turns you put on, the harder the damper becomes?
I was planning on 1 turn on the front and 1/2 turn on the rear, based on the various posts on the forum.

Ah, OKie thanks Corey
That suggests that the rears are run harder than the fronts, which would of course help with understeer and squat, but with the bumpy roads around Cambridge, that would also potentially make the rear end a little to skittish on bumpy corners when the power is on
Can anyone who has run several different settings comment on the difference between running the rears softer or harder than the front?

Hard springs make it skitish not dampers, ran lots of different settings over the years thats how we come up with the suggestions
Si try the settings if you don't like I'll adjust them for you for free, thats how confident I am on the settings

Wow, that IS confidence. The Konis finally go on tonight so I'll let you know.
As for the free adjustment, that is a very generous offer but it might be considered too cruel to hold you to it, particularly as you always seem to be flat out. But I do appreciate the offer

Coreys advice is spot on IMO. I found when adjusting the fronts any more it dialed in understeer on tight corners, ie turning into t-junctions. Always the keep the rear slightly firmer.
On very rough roads (we have lots of them) i found the car was better on stock springs. With H&R's i find the car tends to skip over the top of ridges instead of following the road. Thats what makes it skitish on the limit, i could drive quicker on stock springs over rough stuff.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home
