Ccm under passenger carpet is quite possibly faulty, quite often caused by water leaking through from scuttle panel area

Do a scan with vcds,it may show 30+ errors on the doors etc

Door loom? Is it plug and play?
There's something odd about the wires at the plug in the door jam. I tugged and the plug pulled out but there were some wires going straight through the other half of the plug, I reckon someone's bypassed a couple of the pins..
Ran out of time and energy with it last night

Yes plugs into a post connections rest just threads through door to various points. Easy. Easier than a repair that lasts 6 months

As long as tbe female socket in the a pillar is intact then you will replace the lot.
