Small Update:
I have installed an RNS-D and TMC module, so I can get navi display in the FIS. I was considering the RNS-E but in Denmark they do get stolen alot and I found a brand new RNS-D (latest version) from a UK VW dealer for a nice price.
Currently I'm using a GROM audio interface for my old Motorola Defy phone and it is working ok.
But I found this nice project www.audicarpc.com where Steve has managed to make a CAN bus adaptor so you can control WMC 7 and XMBC from the RNS-E.
His canbus adaptor should also work on the RNS-D so I have ordered a set from him.
The plan is to install a HTPC in the car.
I currently have three options lying around:
VIA Epia P720 Pico ITX board with a 120gb SSD Drive. It has a 1ghz processor of some sort.
Igologic Pico ITX i2820 with Intel Z530 1.6ghz and direct 64GB Flash memory card.
ASUS AT5IONT-I mITX 2x 1.8GH with picoPSU smart start-up etc.
The two pico boards are by far the smallest, however the Dual core 1,8ghz has more power for 1080p etc.
Plan is to use it for music, spotify, and perhaps vcds. I will just print custom size case at work when I get that far.

So installed my RS4 y-pipe today, got it cheap with the boots.
Dont know if it will give anything extra, but will do a couple of logs.

I also got further with my HTPC project on the RNS-D.
I now use a Zotac mini itx board with an onboard ATI 4250HD graphics card. Now running this in windows xp and using a edid dongle and a vga to scart adaptor used for mame. I can get a stable 320x234 resolution on the RNS-D tv input.
Since we 10+ 3D printers where I work, I made my own case for the mini itx board and the scart to vga adaptor.
A couple of pics and video of the lid while it was being printed.

Thanks mate. Do like your RS4 avant, I was very close getting one instead of the A6 but they are just a bit to pricey in Denmark I'm afriad.

Airbox mod
Did a little modification to the airbox today.
Used a 100mm cup drill and then I bought the following:
A 120x120mm fan grill kit from Silverstonetek:
And a 120x120mm fan filter just to add some extra shielding against dirt etc.

Water/ethanol tank install
So I managed to get my water/ethanol tank mounted today:
Is a SS tank that takes just around 4 L.
The pump and controller is from a AEM water/meth kit. I need to get everything wired up.

Ashtray with touchpad
So I got a little furtherwith my Car PC project.
I made a small bezel for the ashtray and install an Easy Cat USB Touchpad in it.
It is not supposed to be the main control, that will be via the steering wheel in the radio.
But to do some logging with obd etc. it will be much easier.
