Looking forward to complete photos of the car in an arty location in due course.

Can't remember if you've covered this already, any info about the hard top? Driving my cab 2.6 everyday as second Avant is having a number of jobs done, usual story, one thing leads to another and it's off the road for months.

    Kind regards.

Covered previously on page 2 matehttp

Not sure where you'd get it done but a friend had the chrome blacked out on a car by a contractor who covered it with "black tape" professionally. Obviously looked way better than black tape? This would allow you to do it and still be able to change back. Just thinking about it, a contractor who wraps the paint-work on cars should be able to do it for you no bother?

Either way, please post more photos of the car when it gets de-chromed or new rims?

    Kind regards.
Heres a pic of set of 10x17 Rh zw's i used to have

Theyre a very high et so there room to play with along with the right tyre choice.

Theres quite a few companies over here that do vynil wrapping on cars so ill be trying one of them. As you say if done right its very hard to tell its not paint.

You get enough tramlining on the S2 with 8J on a 225... I think 9 is too big.

I personally think the chrome looks nice with the red and the beige (I hate calling it beige when it looks that nice) interior. With black insulating tape you could try one side of the car to see if you like the look from a distance - it'll look kak up close until properly blacked out - but don't commit until certain.
Because im a tart. Purely aesthetic. Its a tarts car and i love deep rimmage....ahem
Im a big fan of the so called euro look and love a low and wide stance

im a picky ****** so i pick holes in it tbh. Dont get me wrong its in no way a substitute for a decent retrim, but it s an alternative when youre on a tight budget like me. We had dye left over from redying the tan recaros in my wifes corrado so i used that. More of a buttery colour compared to the ecru.
The results are very good if you take your time but its in no way perfect. Most noticeable is the stitching as this obviously gets dyed also. Ive got a few marks in mine that im not happy with but the advantage is you can just rub it down and redye it. It can also be used on pastics as ive used it on some of the trim on the seats (i also redyed the gear shift gaitor from black).
Its in now way a show car standard but im happy with it, especially for the cost. Even the large kits come in at under £100.Compared to upwards of a grand for a good retrim its an excellent compromise. If your refurbng your leather in the original colour or dying it a darker colour, its perfect, however, again the only downside is the stitching being died.

Wheels wll be 9 or 9.5" RH zw's 2 pece splts. Its also gong to get a bloody big wack with the lowering stick.
Still indecided about the chrome, somedays i lke t others i dont. Considering a carbon overlay or piano black to match the hardtop
