    LOL.

    Bring it on !

Mightn't be definite about some things, but this one is a no brainer, imho.

If you're looking for things to change on the car, powder coat the chrome door pulls inside the car satin black ala an RS2 door pull.

Source as set of black leather RS2 front seats. They may be a big investment, but they can be moved to further cars, so they are a worthwhile investment when viewed over the long term.

I took off the chrome Audi rings on the boot on my own Cabrio.

I know I may be ploughing a lonely furrow here, but I can't understand why people think putting an RS2 / RS2 style grille on an S2 or a B4 Cabrio is better than the oem B4 grille.

To me it is like someone putting a GTI badge on a CL Golf. An RS4 badge on the boot of an A4 diesel, with less taste than Lexus style tail lights on an older BWM 3 series or small Peugeot hatchback.

It's in the same style as Barryboys cars, but some people just can't seat. The good designers that Audi employ are there for a reason, they are good at their job. Look how good a B4 still looks compared to other cars of the era. And the owners swopping the grille think they know better.

Changed / 'upgraded' is definitely not always better, certainly on this occassion.

The swopping in of an RS2 grille will seriously clash with the normal lower slated grille in the S2 bumper.

It looks just as bad when people put an RS2 style grille on an UrS4 / UrS6.

No offence intended whether implied or actual, but I just feel happier having got this issue off my chest. It is just that the car looks very well at the moment and I think it would be a retrograde step to put an RS2 grille on it. I do appreciate that it is your car though, believe it or not.

    Rant over.

Sleeper / oem + + / less is more is my train of thought.

I'm getting rid of the chrome on mine and have done the same as you plan with the aerial lee. Actually works better than the oem electric one .
    Looking great btw

I'm thinking about ditching the aerial altogether and wiring in a windscreen aerial type thing, like I had on my TT as it will smooth out the rear. As for the silver, not sure, I might try getting it wrapped to see how it looks, I don't mind the silver personally but might look good.

    Doh ! My bad.

Now makes sense - couldn't fathom why you'd sold it.

So when are you changing to a black ariel, and losing the chrome trim, now that you're keeping it.

ha ha, sorry mate, I think you missed the joke, the cabriolet is now a coupe on account of it having a hardtop so for winter its no longer windy, cold rattly soft top, its all the way nice and warm coupe like ;-P

Just my tuppence, but the Coupe would want to be good.

Cabbie looked good, apart from the chrome trim.

Blue / colour coded is the right choice for the hardtops imho, but it's all academic now. :roll eyes:

Looking forward to your new thread.

    Best wishes.

One thing I have learnt over the last year is that EBC lie about what their products can do! I will do DS2500 next time as I am running UR quattro front callipers so won't be a problem getting sizes

Ah, I see. Had no idea since the Redstuff are advertised as giving off very little brake dust... Then just keep going and good luck with the great car

I'm not sure if it looks even better with the hardtop on, but it sure looks great.

i clean the wheels weekly mate, just didn't for this shot, usually with Iron X

I run EBC Red Stuff pads so brake dust is a common problem
