Gutted to say this but i need shot of my 16v gti...after years of cliinging on to it and watching it waste away.
it's a special ordered german spec. mk2 16v with factory fitted full leather RHD and declared on production in 89.
Its in its original oak green with 110,000 miles.
Clutch changed at 97,000
Dented front passenger wing needs replacing but have new wing for it the door has some lower edge damage where the wing impacted the leading edge.
Drivers door also has a dink but a mobile dent guy could deal with it (quite minor)
Full good cond. leather interior with usual driver bolster wear.
clifford concept 500 with intellistart.
Koni adjustable rear shocks
pipercross airbox and large bore inake pipe
larger euro spec intake mani.
90s spec hella rear lights.

Chrome sunroof handle
Alu door trigger surrounds (one offs made by me.)
Alu heater controls
Isotta steering wheel

Parts
AGU 1.8t 20v engine - head and block seperated. Head possible bent valves from broken timing belt but no contact evident on inspection.
Block needs stripping and cleaning but was a v.low miler 40,000 just really dusty where its been sitting
K24 turbo off my ABY came off at 105,000, no smoke all was well.
1.8t loom a few plugs missing but have them loose in a box to finish.
S3 gearbox pulled from a rear ended s3. Told avg miles but never saw the speedo switch on.
Corrado pedal box with clutch master and brake servo
Has tax till nov and mot till april.

The car got vandalised and i gave up on it needing money put into it already to get it where i wanted it. I hardly ever used it for about 2 years and the last 9months of that it just sat.
Started mixing oil and water when i started it up and was told the water/oil cooler going is common on these.
After changing the water\oil cooler over christmas it wouldnt start...has spark and fires with fuel put into intake. So could be a blocked filter or knackered main pump (lift pump is priming, I can hear it swirling) could be an easy fix I just can't be arsed with it anymore.
Theres a bit of money in it all either breaking or would make a nice mk2 after repair, but too many commitments and not enough time mean the lot has to go. It's a shame as I've spent a mass of money on this lot and I have to sell at a loss. I just don't have the space anymore.
