Are those seats heated?....any chance of some pictures of the engine/parts and the engine bay....
trying to get an idea as to what is needed to sort out...

seats are not heated.

car was a runner till just before christmas bodywork damage but ok. then it started mixing oil and water which was a suspect oil cooler which apparently corrodes throughwhen left sitting. changed the oil cooler and then it wouldn't start. So i never know if I fixed it or not. who knows, it might start up with a fuel pump and be fine or it might need a headgasket, just don't know and haven't got the money to find out.

for the books, it was mixing oil in the water not water in the oil. Not sure if that means anything.

I can see im going to have to fix this bar steward!

correct me if i am wrong that sounds like a head gasket....or is it a cracked block....i have managed to confuse myself already....

cracked block! A possibility i suppose but highly unlikely. Anywhere theres a possibility of cross contaminating.

Weakest places are.
Watercooled oil cooler.
Headgasket.

Usual culprit the oil cooler the one the oil filter fits on too changed loads in my time
