unfortunately not
and I'll be winding that thread up with the start of the new one. Necessity at the time meant a basic 5 Cyl TDI was needed quickly. The principle is exactly the same, but hopefully more easily achieveable and therefore doable. I'll attach the link to my signature when I start the A6 rework....

Will you be breaking the v8 or selling it on?Cheers, although I must confess to not feeling overly capable at the moment
... but happily and sadly it will be around 6 weeks of V8 joy, abuse and large fuel bills until I get the rework on the A6Q TDi done. (S4/6 front end, repaired rear arch and then new head gasket and ARP bolts + 2056 VNT. Idea being C4 S6 performance with 45mpg...)
I will hopefully have a blast over the next wee while and will be ticking the V8 box in my list of cars to own. I had it started up yesterday and it sounds superb
Truth is, I'd love to be able to hang on to the V8, but I can't live with the reality of 15- 26 mpg. The old girl will not die in vain, she will live on in the A6...Comment

I am really very happy wiht my C4 S4 avant as a car/chassis it is perfect for me. Although 45mpg and same/similar perfomance very much appeals. If you get it done i wouldnt mind seeing how it runs so to speak!Cheers, although I must confess to not feeling overly capable at the moment
