It breaks my F**king heart, but finances (and fiancees) dictate that i've got to sell up.
We're in a tight spot financially as I've lost my job.
I havent owned the car all that long, and any of you who recognise my name may be up to speed on the state of it.
here are the stats.
1991
135k ish
full main dealer history up to around 120,000 i think all stamped up and nice
the private plate J2 GLL (valued at £350) comes with
full scorpion stainless system
H&R springs
replica 18'' RS4 alloys (just bought)
full black leather inside in fair condition for the age
heated seats
electric sunroof
mark h mod
the engine is strong, a mechanic tested it with some kind of fluid that detects if the head is going at all, and he had no concerns at all. temperatures are stable.
It is smoking a bit, (white fuel smelling smoke) but as i'm not driving it's just sat on the drive.
for the MOT it failed on a few simple things
1. part of the inner arch fouling the wheel (sorted with a couple of screws)
2. worn wishbone bushes (replaced)
also I had trouble with a loud slamming noise on acceleration (fixed with a powerflex diff bush)
there's still a bit of play in the drivetrain, don't ask me what it is though.
maybe engine or gearbox mounts i dunno.
the car has at one point had a bodykit put on it (by some total f*kin idiot)
the bumpers were replaced and resprayed and are looking good, but it still needs some of the tigerseal scraping off the sides and the lower door trims putting on (i've got some)
there's also a ding on the rear panel above the rear bumper, and a scrape on one of the front wings with some rust where the paint has chipped off.
the bonnet release cable has snapped, so currently the engine bay is accessed by pulling the release catch with the grill off.
I can't think of much else but if you have any questions , go ahead.
oh, it has a sony cd head.
and the passenger side elec window wont work, (it's not the switch)
i'm being honest as i can here, the car needs some love, but will be a nice motor and it's not far off complete now.
i paid £1350 for the car, but it now stands me in at well over 2500.
it only needs maybe another £400 spending on it to get it to a reasonable condition IMHO
oh, one last problem, i can't get one of the old wheels off due to a cross threaded and now completely mangled wheel nut. so currently, it comes with three nice RS4's
and one ultra bling gangsta pile of crap. i will sort that out soon, but not in this weather.
