Hi Guys,

Been ages since i've been on here!!!Got the old R34 GTR out of my system and now in a Golf GT Tdi looking for an S2 as i miss the beast!Maybe getting my old one back if it's still for sale that is....Does anyone know if this vehicle is from the forum??

So how does an R34 GTR compare to an S2? was it running big power?

sometimes have had an itch for a standard looking origional R32 GTR, all tuned up....

Well basically it was running around the 410bhp mark with similar torque levels..It's actually quite a big car when your driving it too but very quick!!Went drag racing in york against a 2007 Audi Rs4 Cab which was left way behind and also a Porsche 996 twin turbo which only caught up in fourth gear lol.Quarter mile times were around 11 - 12 sec mark... Uk model vspec not an import

David - Out of my price range looking for something cheaper as the advertised one so i can spend some money making it mine lol..

I appreciate the budgetary restrictions, everyone has them, nice car to benchmark from.

The principle may not apply to this car, but sometimes buying a cheap car can be a false economy due to the amount of money that gets sunk / sucked into the initially inexpensive car.

Having said that there are advantages to doing it yourself though.

It's six of one and half a dozen of the other.

The only certainty is that it helps greatly if you have a big tool kit and know how to use it with an S2. If it's not fixing it, it is upgrading them. Great cars.

Cheers guys...Wether my missus is gonna be happy seeing another S2 on the drive or anywhere within a 5m radius to me i another story haha!!I will just surprise her on a good day and let you all know the result of that!!

VERY TRUE!!!!BUT IT WAS DAMN CLOSE SOMETIMES!!LOL my missus would of killed me if she saw my statements after aquiring the GTR!£65 full tank and only 160miles FULL STOP!
