Hi All,
I'm thinking of selling my trusty S2.
I've enjoyed it immensely over the past 4 and a half years but I think it's now time for someone else to enjoy it.
The car is very well known amongst members on this forum and was owned by dan_b before me. The car has truely never wanted for anything and has had an absolute fortune thrown at it since I've owned it.
The spec is as follows:
1991 3B
163k miles
Laser Red
Black Leather Interior which is in great condition
Air-conditioning
MTM Stage 1 ECU
Samco boost hoses
Full s/s scorpion exhaust
Brakes:
Front:- Porsche 968 4-pots, 304x30 cut-down A8 discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads.
Rear:- disc/calipers standard, EBC Greens at the back
H&R Springs + Koni Dampers, lowered.
RS2 FARB, Whiteline RARB
17" Porsche Cup Alloys
Short shift kit
HID Light upgrade
RS2 Maf
RS2 Airbox
Combination of 3B, ABY and ADU airguides to maintain sufficient air supply.
The S2 has been tested on an extremely reliable rolling road where by it made 270bhp and 320 ft-lbs of torque which means it goes like a stabbed rat when you put your foot down as I'm sure Newsh will attest to.
The interior is in great condition and very clean. I certainly don't feel as though it makes the car feel old or tatty inside. Infact, no passenger every believes me when I tell them it's a 20 year old car!
The exterior is in great condition. The paint is not scratched, there are no dents but there are some stonechips on the front of the car as it does get driven on the motorway and to a lesser extent gets taken on the odd B road run to clear the cobwebs a little. The wheels could do with a refurb but I plan to do this anyway.
It's always been well serviced (every 4k - 5k miles) by either myself when I have the time or a local and trusted Audi Garage.
I know I shouldn't be selling this car and I know that if I do sell it I will be kicking myself but I need a newer and bigger 4 door car for work.
*sigh*
I've no real idea of price but £3750 seems fair when you factor in the age and condition of the car. I will obviously consider sensible offers.
I'll be servicing it this coming weekend (3,500 miles since the last service) should I feel up to it and by then I will have made a concrete decision on what I'm going to do. If I decide to sell it, I'll pop some photos up to do the car some justice.
Edited to add - This advert is now up on Pistonheads. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2725154.htm
