B552 YYP will live on, she was collected by a very happy new owner last night.

Met a couple of really sound Asian guys from Stoke on Trent, top blokes

I know I'm going to regret parting with her, but would rather see it get done as opposed to slowly rotting further and further past the point where it's work saving.

Always easier when you know that a car is going to get some tlc rather than be broken/scrapped!!

Nice to see it live on in the hands of an enthusiastic owner. I would love to find ours and restore it to its former glory. Pic taken sometime in the late 80's, might be inspirational for the new owner

My word... I never expected to see this thread revived! I wonder how the old girls doing now?

As for advice regarding shortening a quattro I'm sure there's a couple of threads covering what's involved, I know a chap called Hamish in Scotland has done a couple as has VolcanoRS as well's Tonks4X4.

If you can't find the threads using the search function then I'd try starting a new one asking for help.
