Hi Guys, thanks for your input.

just had a quote from a VW breakers for a 1Z flywheel for £75 Bit more than I was expecting!!!

He basically suggested over the phone this flywheel was the same they used on both the 16v and the diesel, dont know if anyone can confirm this or not??

My other question was if i buy an uprated clutch for a 1.8t engine - will it fit on the 16v flywheel, do the bolt holes line up and stuff??

I know if I try and put a 240mm clutch plate on it will need machining but i didnt know if 1.8t will just bolt on???

Just a few more pieces in the Jigsaw, if I get it right I will set up a seperate thread so it can help everyone

    Cheers

    Bry

Im using a 16v flywheel with a Stage 2 spec clutch designed for the 2.0l engine its the SA22 clutch kit. Im at about 225hp at the mo an no signs of any slipage. Only downside with this setup is a bit of chatter from the clutch at idle due to no duel mass. This is a 228mm flywheel and clutch setup. I seem to remember the 8v flywheel having the same part No. too but i may be wrong.
